Boating on the Great Salt Lake at Antelope Island

Antelope Island has a boat launch, courtesy dock, and rental slips. The lake is best known for sail boating. Hours are generally 7 AM to dusk. $9.00 per car.

Note in 2011: Because of the low lake level, please check first with the state park to see if there is enough water to launch your boat. A new concessionaire has contracted with the state. Their offices will be at the marina (as soon as you cross the causeway to the island). Please contact the gate for for information, but we're told that you will be able to rent kayaks and canoes - as well as bicycles.

Rentals of kayaks and canoes are available at South Davis Rental in NSL (801.299.0880) for about $20/day. If you have a rack, that's helpful - they rent them, or you can strap it to the car on foam blocks, which they'll supply. Weber State Outdoor Program (801-626-6373) also rents equipment.
