This is the Place Historic Park

When Brigham Young first entered the Salt Lake Valley through the mouth of Emigration Canyon, he reportedly proclaimed, "This is the place." The historic location marked an end to the thousands of Mormon pioneers' westward pilgrimage. Step back in time to Utah’s pioneer days with various activities, farm animals and exhibits. This is the Place Historic Park is the second most visited cultural park in the country after Colonial Williamsburg.

The best tme to see it is during the summer when all of the buildings are staffed by docents who provide demonstrations of what life was like in Utah over 100 years ago.
