Antelope Island Stampede - September 3 - 5, 2010

The Davis Area Convention and Visitors is pleased to sponsor the Antelope Island Stampede, to be held in the White Rock Bay area of Antelope Island on Labor Day. Activities begin at 5PM on Friday and at daybreak on Saturday and Sunday. The events conclude at 10PM each evening.

For the last five years, families and guests have had fun watching hot air balloons and professional kite flyers during the Stampede. Each year brings a different activity to keep it interesting. See www.antelopeballoons.com for more info.

1st Annual Layton Marathon - October 8, 2010

While the entire marathon isn't on the island, over half of it is. It starts at Fielding Garr Ranch and runs up the east side, across the causeway and ends in Layton. Even if you don't run it, come on out and support the runners - or better yet, be a volunteer and help! It's a fun activity for the entire family. There's also a 5k, 10k and half-marathon event. For more info, see the website at http://www.laytonmarathon.com/
